As I renewed all four tyres at the same time I have more confidence in wet conditions than say on a 'mixture' of similar, but not identical tyres.
The ride appears a lot better and I hope that this will continue, or even improve, as time progresses. I am unable to comment on the "Tread wear versus mileage" as I have not covered sufficient mileage yet.
I have used Uniroyal, amongst other brands for years on all sorts of vehicles, so I do not dislike them in any way!
I believe that you should always purchase the best equipment that you can afford, and tyres are very, very important equipment. I always pair the same brand on each axle or ideally replace all four tyres if necessary.
