Before a Full Air Conditioning Service is undertaken on your vehicle, we will need to carry out an Air Conditioning Diagnostic Check. This is a legal requirement to check your system for any leakage or faults.

What is an air conditioning diagnostics check?

An air conditioning diagnostics check is a pre-service inspection which is undertaken before a full air conditioning service (including an air con regas/recharge). Two essential checks are carried out, with both the temperature and refrigeration being inspected. A leak test is then conducted (using nitrogen), as well as a thorough inspection of all key components such as the condenser, compressor, drive belts and hoses.

What if a fault is found during the check?

If a fault is found during the air conditioning diagnostics check, a branch member will discuss this with you and provide you with a free no obligation quotation to fix the repair.

What are the next steps?

If no leaks or faults are found during the air con diagnostics check, then your vehicle will now be ready for a full air conditioning service. A full air conditioning service includes an air conditioning recharge/regas, as well as replacing and recharging refrigerant and lubricant levels in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendation.
