Ultra-high performance from Goodyear WRANGLER AT/S

The Goodyear AT/AT/R tyres are 4WD tyres from Goodyear Tyres known for delivering aggressive performance on muddy terrain. These tyres are part of the Goodyear Wrangler 4x4 range that also comprises other popular tyres like the Goodyear Wrangler HP tyres and the Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tyres. The Goodyear AT/AT/R tyres are all terrain tyres and suitable for use in summer as well as winter. With excellent off traction and superior on road ride comfort, these are undoubtedly one of the best tyre choices for your SUV or pickup truck if you constantly have to negotiate muddy terrain in your everyday or even occasional travel. The Goodyear AT/AT/R tyres have been chosen as original equipment on a number of leading SUVs including the Audi Q7.

Good traction on wet and winter conditions: The tread compound of the Goodyear Wrangler AT/AT/R tyres is silica rich and has inherent strong wet grip properties. Therefore the tyres offer maximum safety on wet as well as snowy surfaces that are slippery.
Increased aquaplaning resistance: With a tread pattern equipped with a deep centre groove, aquaplaning resistance is high because this groove acts as an efficient water deflector. Thus water is effectively channelised away from the tread, maximising the contact patch and reducing the risk of skidding.
Extended tyre life:The tread radius has been optimised to ensure uniform tread wear. This enhances tyres’ life. Also the extra width is the tread crown is associated with higher mileage.
Reduced tyres noise: The optimised tread design keeps the noise levels down so that you have a quiet ride. Also shocks and vibrations are better absorbed resulting in a comfortable ride.

The performance USP of the Goodyear AT/AT/R tyres is their high grip and traction on muddy surfaces. Driving on muddy roads is not the easiest of tasks as mud can clog the tread, reducing grip and compromising stability. Therefore, for negotiating off road terrain that is mostly muddy, you need a tread pattern that can easily evacuate the large chunks of mud, keeping the contact patch clear so that grip is maximised. The tread pattern of the Goodyear Wrangler AT/AT/R tyres comprises large shoulder notches that help evacuate mud and maintain grip. And traction is further increased by the presence of zigzag grooves that bite into the surface to grip well.

This pattern may be suitable as Original Equipment for a number of different car manufacturers. If you are unsure what the symbols mean within the tyre search results, please head over to our tyre symbols guide.
