The Michelin Alpin 6 is the replacement for the Alpin 5. Designed for passenger cars the Alpin 6 is a Premium Touring winter tyre and is designed to give long-lasting performance and excellent longevity.
The Alpin 6 has a 3PMSF marking which means it is rated for severe winter conditions, giving excellent braking and traction performance on snow and in low temperatures.
Michelin claim the Alpin 6 outperforms the Alpin 5 by 6% on wet surfaces and 8% in the snow.
Its abrasion resistant, multi-layer tread compound ensures consistent performance in the most severe winter driving conditions, even as the tyre wears down.
The Alpin 6 came second in the Auto Express ‘Best Winter Tyres 2020 Test’ narrowly beaten by the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005.
