Ultra-high performance from Dunlop SPORT MAXX RT
The SportMaxx RT delivers superb wet and dry grip thanks to adaptive compound technology. Motorsports derived polymers adapt to the textures of the road surface, maximising road contact and increasing grip. Dunlop’s innovative Short Braking blocks help to ensure shorter braking distances when travelling at speed. Designed for high performance driving, these extra stiff blocks increase road contact under braking force. Enjoy stable high speed handling with smooth transitions from straight to curve. Massive outer shoulder blocks help to enhance stability and handling when cornering. The SportMaxx RT employs a lightweight construction to reduce rolling resistance - lowering fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
This pattern may be suitable as Original Equipment for a number of different car manufacturers. If you are unsure what the symbols mean within the tyre search results, please head over to our tyre symbols guide.

Compared to other brands including budget tires, these Dunlop's don't seem to last very long. I'm a steady driver getting 59mpg on a big car with a small engine, so not the daily racer... Regardless I driven 6000 miles and I got about 1/3 of useable rubber left. Last set of cheap stuff lasted over 20k so Dunlop's not great on longevity. Everything else is rather good for the price.

Low mileage 'sunny days' car for fun. OE tyres performed well but cabin noise was high so, when they needed to be changed due to ageing (8 years old) I selected Dunlops as a premium tyre with lower noise rating. Experience so far (few miles covered) suggests they have indeed reduced cabin noise levels.
They don't look anything special but really isn't a problem. First impressions are that grip in the dry is at least as good as the OE tyres. Not tried in wet as car used only on warm, sunny days.

These are the noisiest tyres I have had in 40 years of motoring. I bought them because they had a low noise rating, but anything above about 35 mph and the car is filled with a loud whine, peaking around 40-50 mph but irritatingly audible on the motorway too.

The XL versions I bought showed cracks around the outside tread blocks within 3 months and within 18 months and only 6500 miles they have reached their wear limit! I will not be buying Dunlop Tyres again.

No problem with tyres. problem with staff I had my wheels panted 12 moths ago . and had to have 4 new tyres fitted. when I got the car back there was a chunk out of one of my wheels .I did not say any thing as I could not prove it. I then went down the M1 and my steering wheel was vibrating. I took it to a garage to get them balanced again and was told the front off side was way out. I will never come to you for tyres gain. it cost £65 to get it sorted.

Great grip and very, very quiet on those horrible concrete motorways. The grip is extremely good but I cannot say anything about wear at present. As with most tyres grip on the driven wheels is momentarily lost on fierce acceleration
This tyre must be somekind of EU design as the word Dunlop is imprinted at the bottom of the tread at intervals. Normally new tyres are 8mm depth but if you check these and measure on the Dunlop marking it is only 7mm. the car tends to pull on uneven surfaces like tramlining. I have had full alignment done on fitting and there does not appear to be any wear in steering components. Pressures are as recommended. I suspect that the alignment has been poorly done.
