The car can go from 80 to 250 km/h on a shorter distance, depending on load and car type. This is all made possible by a special strenghtened side construction and a new extreme heatproof rubber mixture. A strenghtened bulge core assures a safer setting of the tyre on the rim- even by total pressure loss. Another advantage would be that RTFs dont require special rims but can be set on standard ones.
Run flat tyres
The run flat property is given by a reinforced side wall that preserves the shape of the tyre in case of pressure loss, thus preventing the tyre from falling off the rim. That means that in case of a flat tyre, it is possible to drive another 250 km running at 80 km/h. All run-flat tyres have the RSC-symbol (Run Flat System Component) on the sidewall. Run-flat tyres don`t need any special rims, but are only functionable with cars that are equipped with a functioning air pressure control system.
