Fiat Tyres

Few automakers around the world have such an interesting history as Italy’s Fiat. With more than 100 years in the business, Fiat has seen it all. Great success, fortune reversal, market reversals once again, worldwide consolidation by acquiring the world’s top luxury automotive brands such as Maserati, Ferrari and a future that looks bright and prosperous.

Like the company itself, all Fiat cars have history, passion, zeal and zest. And owning (and of course driving) a Fiat car, any Fiat car, is guaranteed to be an exhilarating experience.

And if you are looking to replace your Fiat tyres, you know just where to look, don’t you? At National Tyres and Autocare, of course, where we stock the best and widest range of Fiat tyres.

While the Fiat 500 is clearly one of Fiat’s most popular models in the UK, the Fiat Bravo is not far behind. While the 500 caters to the city ‘family’ customers, the Bravo is sporty and spacious and targets long-distance drivers.

The Fiat Bravo is originally equipped with the Continental ContiSportContact3 tyres. The Goodyear GT2 tyres and the Avon ZZ3 tyres are also apt replacement Fiat tyre options for this car. Also, the Uniroyal Rainsport2 tyres are your best bet for budget-friendly Fiat tyres.

Fiat winter tyres

Winter tyres can be fitted to your Fiat once temperatures drop below 7 degrees Celsius. Winter tyres will ensure that your Fiat will maintain optimal grip in snow and ice. The unique tyre tread pattern prevents the tyre from becoming clogged with snow and therefore stops the car from skidding. This also improves the car's rolling resistance in cold weather, making your Fiat more fuel efficient.

What tyre brand does Fiat use?

When new, Fiat’s are usually fitted with tyres from Continental. Continental are a premium tyre manufacturer, and its tyres offer top levels of performance and durability. These tyres are used by Fiat as it ensures that any new car will perform to its potential, due to the superb grip of premium tyres.

What size tyres are on a Fiat?

You can easily find your Fiat tyre size by entering your registration number at the top of this page. Alternatively, you can find your tyre size in your Fiats manual or on the inside of the fuel cap.

You can also find your tyre size on the sidewall of your current tyres. Here, you should see characters in a similar format to 215 50 R16 96W. This specifies the tyre width, profile, wheel size and speed rating. Any new tyres that you purchase for your Fiat must match the current specifications, otherwise, they will not fit on your vehicle.

When do Fiat tyres need changing?

Fiat tyres should be replaced once the tread depth drops below 3mm in order to maintain high levels of performance and efficiency. The legal limit for tread depth is 1.6mm, so your tyres must be replaced before they reach that amount.

To easily check your tyre tread depth, you can use a 20p coin. Insert the coin into the tyre groove, and if the border of the coin is covered, you have sufficient tread depth. If the border of the coin is visible, then your tyres have less than 1.6mm of tread depth and must be replaced as soon as possible.
