The Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres are suited especially for SUVs and light trucks and combine on road high performance with satisfactory off road capabilities. The tyres are designed mainly for on road usage with moderate off road characteristics. Pirelli Tyres , one of the world’s leading tyre manufacturers has presence in practically all tyre segments. While the Scorpion range is Pirelli’s dedicated SUV range, the Pirelli PZero range comprises ultra-high performance tyres for sports cars and saloons, including the popular Pirelli PZero tyres. These tyres are factory fitted on several leading automotive models such as BMW, Ford, Volkswagen and others.
Enhanced handling characteristics: The Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres exhibit a symmetric tread pattern with round tread blocks on the outer shoulder, which maximise the contact and improve handling characteristics. The grip is also maximised, enhancing the braking responsiveness.
Precision steering responsiveness: The symmetrical tread pattern of the Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres exhibits inclined tread blocks towards the inner shoulder equipped with high density sipes. This improves traction of various terrains and contributes towards making the steering responsiveness extremely precise on all surfaces, including light snow.
Greater ride comfort: The continuous central rib maintains constant contact with the surface at all speeds, enhancing the ride stability and contributing to ride comfort. This also ensures uniform tread wear, enhancing the tyre durability.
Improved wet safety: The lateral grooves in the shoulder ribs of the Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres and the presence of larger grooves between the independent tread blocks serve as effective water evacuation channels. As a result, the aquaplaning resistance is high, leading to greater control on wet surface. The chances of skidding are greatly minimised.
Reduced tyre noise: The tread pattern of the Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres is optimised to reduce tyre noise levels significantly.
The Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres use an advanced tread compound composed of silica and natural rubber. This all season tread compound offers highest traction and performance levels on wet surface as well as surface covered in light snow, making the tyres suitable for use all year round. Suited for the latest generation of powerful trucks, 4x4s and SUVs, the Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres exhibit ease of handling, precision steering responsiveness, enhanced ride comfort and reduced tyre noise in both on road and off road applications.
This pattern may be suitable as Original Equipment for a number of different car manufacturers. If you are unsure what the symbols mean within the tyre search results, please head over to our tyre symbols guide.

Experience from the past reliability.
I'm not still fully confident this time because it dropped tyre pressures quite low twice.

Good chunky tread pattern, I feel confident in the grip and cornering ability on various types of surface. They are quiet and very responsive, I have driven 2-3,000 miles since fitting them and they still look as good as new. When researching the tyres originally I found National Tyres offered and gave the best deal with the puncture protection and service I would buy this make of tyre again.
Not having an answer for this question.......All good

Bought these tyres mainly to cope with snow and they have performed extremely well in this regard. The Scorpion STRs fitted to my X-trail coped with deep snow without fuss and negligible wheelslip. In normal dry conditions they are quiet and grippy - you'd have to be pushing very hard to notice the difference to summer tyres.
Nothing.
