Ultra-high performance from Pirelli P ZERO NERO

The Pirelli PZero tyres are the ultra-high performance tyres from Pirelli Tyres that represent the pinnacle of technology and are in fact a reference point for the ultra-high performance tyre segment at large. Pirelli’s association with motorsports is well known and the Pirelli PZero range is where the on-track technology meets on-road technology to deliver tyres that meet and exceed your highest performance expectations. Besides the Pirelli PZero tyres, this range also consists of the popular Pirelli PZero Nero tyres. The Pirelli PZero tyres are summer tyres and suitable for some of the most demanding top range high powered sports cars and saloons. These can also be fitted on mid-range high powered vehicles.

Given their sporty driving characteristics encompassing precision steering response, optimal braking performance and exceptional handling characteristics, it is hardly surprising that the Pirelli PZero tyres are factory fitted on luxury sports models from the Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini marquees. When we talk about performance in the ultra high range as produced by the Pirelli PZero tyres, even ‘exciting’ is a mild word.

You can look forward to the exceptional performance in the following areas.

Enhanced handling performance: The Pirelli PZero tyres exhibit a unique ‘S-treme’ asymmetrical tread pattern with large, rigid tread blocks on the outer shoulder. These enhance the area of the contact patch and confer lateral stability to make the steering responsiveness very precise. Hence handling characteristics improve and you experience a perceptible control on the car at all speeds, which is very important.
Superior braking responsiveness: The new nano-composite compound of the Pirelli PZero tyres increases the grip and traction on surfaces. This is supplemented by the tread pattern that showcases three solid longitudinal ribs that maintain close contact with the surface at all times. Because of increased grip, the tyres respond faster to braking commands stopping sooner and increasing safety. The tread compound features also contribute to enhancing the handling characteristics.
Improved aquaplaning resistance: Three wide longitudinal grooves, part of the asymmetrical tread pattern ensure rapid and effective water expulsion on wet surface, improving resistance and increasing safety on wet and slippery surfaces at high speeds.
Extended tyre life: With a tread pattern that ensures uniform pressure distribution, the Pirelli PZero tyres experience even tread wear that enhances tyre life. Also the tread pattern is optimized to reduce noise levels to deliver a quiet ride.

This pattern may be suitable as Original Equipment for a number of different car manufacturers. If you are unsure what the symbols mean within the tyre search results, please head over to our tyre symbols guide.

Good quality. Excellent road grip and safe at high speed. I have always used good tyres on my cars. The way I look at it you are riding on your tyres and cheap tyres are full of nylon and other substances so I avoid cheap tyres and always put a good brand of tyres on both of my car.

Pretty good grip for the price.

These tyres are the noisiest I've had, and the side wall tread pattern looks awful. It's not a pretty tyre, especially compared to Yokos and Toyos.

Pirellis felt slightly smoother than my original Continentals and seemed better on corners, like fast roundabouts, when the Continentals were more prone to understeer. Time will tell with wear and fuel consumption, but I do so few miles I couldn't say what the difference would be between an A rated tyre and a C over 5000 miles. Probably very little.

The Pirellis are still quite expensive - roughly double a budget brand - but I feels safer with these and I think my lease company might object to an unknown brand.

noticeable difference in wear characteristics and therefore lifetime between front an drear tyres. I.e. fron last ~17000 miles, rear last ~24000 miles - but this is probably due to car's power steering and that it is fwd
