The tyres (type and make) were fitted as original equipment to the vehicle, the originals performed well in all conditions, the replacements should be the same.
Mileage was not great (22000) on the original tyres but this seems the norm with modern tyres/vehicles.

I have found these, and their previous model, tyres to be the best value for money. A bit of a dichotomy, you might say. How can the (arguably) most expensive tyre be the best vfm? I believe you get what you pay for here. 20,000 miles of sometimes "spirited" driving. Grip in all weather conditions, except in the worst weathers. Rear let go on me last winter on a stretch of black ice; rear slid away but it was easily bought back in line, no panic, no drama. Same scenario with a cheaper tyre might not have been so forgiving. Like all tyres they will aquaplane, if the conditions are sufficiently arduous, however these quickly regain their composure. Good cruising tyre, must be one of the quietest out there.
The price.

Can't fault the tyres, with my low annual mileage they were the best option on quality and price. Would like to mention that the guys at the depot went beyond expectations as one of my wheel nuts was rounded. They managed to get it off after a struggle. I am well impressed with them,
Nothing really.

Michelin tyres will always be a winner. I bought these when they were on offer so they were a really good price and know they'll last well.
Nothing really. I had read reports about them giving a bumpy ride, but when they were inflated to the correct pressure, I didn't notice any difference to my old tyres.

They have lost 2mm of tread in around 1000 miles and I haven't been hooning about -- I have an average speed of <30mph commuting to work on A-roads.

Not doing so many miles these days so tyres were replaced at first signs of hairline cracks where tread meets sidewall. Tyre on rear and had lasted approx' six years and had done approx 50K which I think is good.
