Ultra-high performance from Michelin PILOT SPORT 4
The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres are premium tyres suited for high performance vehicles. These tyres offer the perfect blend of ultra-high performance and extremely high levels of safety. In terms of safety, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres are the number 1 sport tyre in terms of dry and wet braking. Increased tyre longevity: The innovative rubber compound used within the tread ensures an extension in the life of the tyre. You can now be assured of excellent value for money due to the high mileage characteristics. Save money on fuel: The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres offer a reduction in fuel consumption due to the optimised rolling resistance. Outstanding steering responsiveness: Michelin’s ‘Dynamic Response Technology’ ensures optimum traction with the road surface. Due to these increased levels of grip, you can be assured of maximum control when driving. High levels of safety on wet road surfaces: The wide longitudinal grooves within the tread effectively disperse surface water. Due to this, the risk of skidding or aquaplaning in wet conditions is significantly reduced.
An evolution of the reinforced tyre for heavier, higher performance vehicles, allowing a lower profile tyre with extra load carrying capability, these tyre give more rigidity and enhanced road holding. Extra load tyres have a higher inflation pressure and often have XL moulded on the sidewall.
This pattern may be suitable as Original Equipment for a number of different car manufacturers. If you are unsure what the symbols mean within the tyre search results, please head over to our tyre symbols guide.

I`ve had this brand (before) but this type is a replacement for the previous one. What has been most noticeable is that the mpg has dropped since these tyres were fitted. They are also noisier that the "old" ones. I selected the brand as they have always given good mileage and I am hoping that these new ones do similar.

I do not drive fast or corner fast hence ratings of 7 average I have no idea to the resistance to aquaplaning when driving through water ( slow down )The tread wear on this car front had to be changed at under 18000 miles backs are still good with plenty of tread left.

Main reason i purchased the tyres was to switch from the standard run flats. The michelin were highly recommended and i can see why, the car is far less skittish, quieter and a bit more comfortable.
Nothing so far, i am very pleased with them.

Have these Michelins on the rear only at present so cannot advise on steering. Once scrubbed in they seem to be much grippier than the Conti Sport 5 I had on previously. Obviously, you can still spin them easily if not careful with the throttle-even in dry warm conditions. My E90 330d is mapped to circa 280hp/450ftlbs and is a manual. Noise and ride is not really any difference noticeable. Look good too in a sporty manner, if that matters to you. Only done few thousand miles in Autumn/beginning of winter so cannot advise on wear rate but I mainly do motorways and average around 15k miles for the rears on various brands throughout ownership.
Nothing to dislike really, even the price was decent in my opinion at just over £100 each, fitted.

I came from Pirelli Cinturato P7 Run Flat tyres and the grip has improved greatly. Wet and dry grip have improved dramatically. I feel much more confident driving around corners in all conditions except snow as these are summer tyres. Ride comfort has also improved since changing the tyres.
I feel since swapping to run flats the car is less responsive when changing direction. It still gives a sporty drive but it doesn’t feel as point as before. Saying that, I much prefer the grip these tyres offer.
