Ultra-high performance from Bridgestone DRIVEGUARD

The DriveGuard™ Runflat (suitable for non-runflat wheels) is a tyre developed by Bridgestone to help enhance driver safety. The Bridgestone DriveGuard is designed for any passenger car with a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). When the indicator on your dashboard lights up, you can safely continue driving for 50 miles at up to 50 mph. This makes Bridgestone DriveGuard the ideal companion for just about any situation on the road. You can be confident of outstanding handling characteristics as well as a peaceful and smooth driving experience. Tyre noise and vibration levels have been minimised to greatly enhance driver comfort. This tyre is suitable for all-seasons, ensuring excellent cost savings. No matter the weather conditions, whether it be rain, sun or even snow, you can be confident of the perfect combination of safety and performance.

Our recommendation is that DriveGuard should be fitted in pairs.

Maintain control following a puncture which means that you can continue driving safely for up to 50 miles at speeds of up to 50mph

The arrival of DriveGuard means many more motorists can enjoy the benefits of tyres that don’t need to be changed immediately when they puncture, while not worrying about the ride quality or the steep price. Even after all these years, this is a revolution for run-flats.

Auto Express, awarding Bridgestone DriveGuard Product of the Year 2016

Designed for ANY car already fitted with TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) which means that you don’t need special run-flat wheels

'A' rated for wet grip which means industry leading braking performance

The Bridgestone DriveGuard© tyre is a revolution - meaning you can stay safe and in control of your vehicle, even with a puncture.

This game changing technology means that unlike regular run-flat tyres, Bridgestone DriveGuard® tyres can be fitted to all standard wheel types.

The ground-breaking DriveGuard technology features a proprietary high-tech cooling fin (to prevent overheating when punctured) as well as supportive and tough reinforced sidewalls which allow drivers to maintain control and continue driving safely and comfortably for up to 50 miles at 50mph after a puncture.

Based on state of the art technology, DriveGuard's sophisticated tread pattern helps evacuate water to resist hydroplaning, while engineered sipes increase the number of biting edges to enhance wet road traction.

Bridgestone DriveGuard has achieved the highest rating in wet grip performance (EU Tyre Label: A grade)with short braking distances, while offering a level of comfort comparable to conventional tyres, placing it at the frontline of road safety.

This pattern may be suitable as Original Equipment for a number of different car manufacturers. If you are unsure what the symbols mean within the tyre search results, please head over to our tyre symbols guide.

Good value tyre

The side wall doesn’t fit flush with the alloy like my previous tyres, although this isn’t a huge issue and saves curbing I guess

The mobile ttre fitter suggested that I have chosen the best hybrid normal/run-flat tyre on the market for the best price, which I also feel was the case. Especially when I paid in 4x installments with 0% interest.

Nothing for now.

Although a harder ride you can feel the road and the pin point accuracy of the steering as well as the sure footed road holding also maybe the quietest tyre I have ever had. Also you can see the quality with Bridgestone

Nothing, but if pushed to choose the harder ride but worth the sacrifice.
