Handling Characteristics: The Avon ZZ3 tyres offer very predictable handling, which gives you the confidence to push your car to its maximum limits.: The tyre tread consists of unidirectional V-shaped tread pattern, which helps in reducing the risk of aquaplaning, thus offering exceptional wet weather performance and handling. The central tread band is further reinforced to produce directional stability and quicker steering responsiveness. Grip: The Avon ZZ3 tread pattern increases the road holding and grip on wet as well as dry surfaces. The tread compound is a unique silica–carbon combination compound, which has been specifically developed for optimising wet and dry grip. The shoulder blocks of the tyres are designed in such a manner as to enhance the contact patch with the surface, further enhancing the grip. Because of excellent grip, the Avon ZZ3 tyres offer exceptional braking response. Low Noise: The Avon ZZ3 tyres use Optinoise technology to minimise noise levels and are one of the quietest tyres in the category. My previous set of tyres, Goodyear Eagle F1, were great, but very short lived (front pair were finished in less than 9000mls) and I was drawn to these Avons by their having a similar pattern to the GoodYears, but mainly by their being around £20 cheaper. However, after 10000mls, the front pair are still in brilliant shape, and look like they could do the same miles again. The rears are like new, after about 8000mls. The grip is fantastic. In even the wettest conditions I can be confident of staying put. I'd recommend Avon ZZ3 to anyone.

I recommend Avon tyres to everyone... been using them for years, wouldn't fit anything else. They meet or exceed the specifications for any car, and are good for normal driving or going on the track... excellent value for money and unbeatable grip.

A fair price for a good tyre, I especially like the tread pattern. As for ease of purchase and fitment it could not be bettered. Suffice it to say "I will be back" you can assured.

As I get older, my driving style becomes more steady. Now believe I need a harder compound tyre for greater mileage and not one to corner fast. Had two Faulken F452's put on recently and feel these are a better tyre for me next time.

I put them on my previous E46 335d Touring and found them to be a superb balance of price to performance. They seem even better on my 1997 310bhp Legacy GTB Estate which seems a much stiffer car than the BMW. The standard Bilstein suspension and four wheel drive probably adds to the overall impression of a totally "planted" and immensely capable car which is turning out to be the most fun I've had in years.

I have a Seat Leon 2.0L Tdi 175hp. I previously had Michelin Pilot Sports on fronts & replaced with these Avons. I found the Michelins more stable in wet/dry compared with the Avons and have lasted 14 months or 12,000ish miles. I have been told the VW 2.0L Tdi engine in my car develops a lot of torque so I suppose the Avons lasted quite well. Don`t know if I will replace the Avons with the same, but recommended if you are on a budget.

Tyres have been good since they were balanced on the rear when I had my car serviced and showed concern about a persistent vibration when travelling at motorway speeds from the time that I had them fitted. The service engineer told me that it took 155 grams on the rear offside and 65 grams on the rear nearside tyres to balance them which he believed to be excessive.

Avon ZZ3 tyres were fitted to my car from the previous owner, covered around 20,000 miles with these tyres and found them to be much better than Bridgestones which I had on all my other cars. I would definately reccommend these tyres to anyone who drives a high performance car, my R26 Renault Megane F1 is light weight and the Avon ZZ3's are well suited to this car. I replaced all 4 as the rears had gone down to 5mm, which in most cases you would'nt change. I trust the Avon ZZ3 tyres and will buy again without a doubt, if you want some safe rubber to stop your performance car in the wet and dry you won't go wrong with these and the price is very good too for a mid range tyre compared to some other well known brand tyres which don't come close to reliability and performance of the ZZ3's.

Used Avon's B4 and found them to be good value, so when Zero's run down (always found them to wear unevenly!) replaced with ZZ3's. Excellent grip wet or dry and ride seems a little softer (although I run pressures higher than standard) Have 165 bhp running through FWD Fiesta so there tested pretty hard! Now replacing rear set too with Avon ZZ3.

The Fiat Croma is based on the Vauxhall Vectra and as such the Avons cannot be used on the rear due to the camber of the suspension that destroys the tyre after 12k miles. I have had to revert to Bridgestone Potenzas for the rear. The Avons are fine on the front but only last about 20k miles .

I am impressed by the performance of these mid range tyres, previous Dunlop sp sport 9000 fitted as standard were no better but uneven wear was a major issue after 5000 miles the tread was blocking to the extent of being dangerous even the replacements were no better. the tracking was checked several times and found to be correct. ZZ3s now covered 5000 miles little to no wear evedent. so impressed i'v fitted a full set to my MX-5 more than happy with the price and performance.

had the Volvo S60 from new (Sept 2003) mileage now 140,000 plus; always used Pirelli P6000 until recently; decided to change to Bridgestone RE050A; they were great but wore out too quickly; expect much more life out of Avon ZZ3's; very happy with their performance; now have full set

2nd time have had problems with the tyres . New ones were reccomended to me ( last purchase ) due to flat spots appearing that despite investigations was believed to be down to tyre. Same problem has occurred wiuth replacements . Happy to use Tyreshopper but wont be using Avon again . Confident that assessment by mechanics was correct

Since fitting the tyres the car has started with noise similar to bearing/coupling wear. Had the car checked mechanically and it can not be faulted, especially as it has only done 14,000 miles. The noise is worse at low speeds. May be a coincidence but the noise is anoying

An expensive tyre for use on a relatively in-expensive car (fitted as standard to some Porsches and Bentleys). They give good grip in the wet for a fwd vehicle and excellent grip in the dry. A must, if you drive "enthusiastically"

These seem very good under a variety of conditions, although cannot report on longer-term wear yet. Price was excellent - could have paid twice as much elsewhere.
