Cooper Tire & Rubber Company has launched the latest addition to its acclaimed performance winter tyre range – the Cooper Weather-master WSC.
The WSC (Winter and Snow Confidence) is designed to offer the motorist both performance and superior confidence on the road, even in the toughest of winter
conditions, thanks to a unique directional tread design and a high-silica compound.
Suitable for SUVs and some passenger cars, including the BMW X3, Lexus RX350/450, Mazda 3 and 5, Toyota Rav-4 and Nissan Murano, the WSC benefits from a
specialised, high-silica polymer, low modulus tread compound, which is designed to provide optimum grip on icy, slushy and wet surfaces, even in extreme
Meanwhile, its innovative directional tread design, which incorporates Cooper’s patented Snow Groove technology, improves acceleration and handling on
snow, while micro-gauge sipes offer the biting edges necessary to provide improved traction for a more confidence-inspiring drive.
For additional traction on icy surfaces, the WSC is studdable, offering a 132-stud count, using a 12-row stud pattern for superior grip when studded, to
help hold the road.
The Cooper Weather-Master WSC meets the industry's severe snow service requirements and is branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol. It features a
winter-themed sidewall styling and eight half-worn indicators, which provide the vehicle owner a quick and accurate view of tyre wear.
The WSC will be available in an initial range of 10 sizes, ranging from 17 to 18” rims. Available sizes will be as follows:
