>National Tyres and Autocare is proud to announce the continued success of its Apprenticeship programme.
>Eighteen new apprentices commenced the two year course to study for a Level 2 NVQ in Motor Vehicle Fitting (Fast-Fit) in July. They will learn skills in tyre fitting and wheel alignment, exhausts, brakes, steering and suspension, oil and filter changes and batteries, with the opportunity to work alongside qualified technicians in National centres, gaining practical experience and on-the-job training.
>As part of the Apprenticeship they will also complete a Technical Certificate and develop skills in Information Technology, Communication and Numeracy.
>This year’s apprentices include - Jordan Ainscough (Birkenhead), Declan Hamilton (Partick), Matthew MacQueen (Dundee), Ryan Knox (Ashington), Matthew Waddington (Bolton), Joe Ainscow (Chorley), Mark Hall (Cheltenham), Liam Horslen (Colchester), Alexander Iwasek (Gloucester), Jordan Townsend (Horsham), Tyler Browne (Norwich), Dean Hughes (Paignton), Karl Howe (Wellingborough), Jack Barber (Cannock), Bryan McKenna (Falkirk), Ellis Winstanley (Bootle), Jordan Talbot (York) and James Bould (Ashton).
>Tony Neill, CEO for the Axle Group, which includes National Tyres and Autocare, welcomed the new apprentices and commented “In what can only be described as an unstable economic climate, we believe we must invest in the future of our business and the Apprenticeship programme plays an important part in this process.”

We offer industry recognised qualifications, on-the-job training from qualified professionals and most importantly, a career path for motivated people with an interest in the motor industry.”
>National is in the top 50 of the UK’s providers of vocational apprentice training. To be eligible for the Apprenticeship programme, applicants require at least three GCSE's, including Math's and English at A to C grade (or equivalent Standard Grades in Scotland).
