Free Motorcycle Tyre Checks at NTA
01 Apr 2010
National Tyres and Autocare is offering all motorcycle customers a FREE three point tyre safety check covering tread depths, pressures and general tyre condition to show its support for Bike Tyre Safety Month, running throughout April this year.
The campaign, organised by TyreSafe, the UK’s foremost tyre safety organisation, will highlight the importance of tyre checks to bikers. Incorrect pressures, worn tyre tread and rubber deterioration from poor winter storage make riding a hazardous and potentially illegal activity, so it’s vitally important that riders have their bikes’ tyre condition, pressure and tread depth thoroughly checked before the season gets underway.
Michael Bourne, Group Marketing Director, National Tyres and Autocare, commented “We are delighted to support Bike Tyre Safety Month. Road conditions are already treacherous for riders following the harshest winter conditions we’ve experienced in more than 20 years. This year, perhaps more than any other, tyre condition is crucially important for rider’s safety and by offering free tyre checks we hope to give a little peace of mind, develop biker’s tyre awareness and improve road safety.”
National are encouraging motorcyclists to ride in to any of their 210 branches, locations for which can be found at www.national.co.uk or call 0808 100 0001 to be connected to their nearest branch.
