Graduation Day at National
13 Aug 2007
National Tyres and Autocare is proud to announce the latest 13 graduates of its Apprenticeship programme.
The programme offers an excellent opportunity within the industry, helping apprentices develop skills in IT, communication, numeracy and working with others.
Designed for sixteen year-olds looking for a qualification and with an interest in the motor trade, the apprentices work alongside qualified technicians and also complete a twelve week off-the-job training course to study for an NVQ in Motor Vehicle Fitting (Fast Fit). Once completed, apprentices are given the opportunity to participate in the City & Guilds of London Institute Skills Tests.
To apply, potential apprentices only need three GCSE’s, including Maths and English.
Tony Neill, Managing Director, Retail commented “Well to all our graduates for their hard work. The Apprenticeship programme has proved to be a fantastic success with almost 150 young people benefiting from the course over the last few years. Young people are the future of the company and training them properly, right from the start, accelerates their career and the company’s success.”
