National Tyres and Autocare’s Marketing Services Manager, Leigh Melling, has achieved excellent results in his Chartered Institute of Marketing exams attaining a highly regarded qualification as Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM).

The qualification is ideal for individuals involved with managing the marketing process at an operational level and is designed to build practical skills as well as to broaden strategic perspective. The course was put together by the Chartered Institute of Marketing following consultation with employers to ensure that the curriculum is finely tuned to industry requirements and that students gain the relevant competencies for various stages of their marketing career.

Leigh commented “The course has helped me to expand my knowledge of marketing fundamentals and I can apply my newly developed skills to my job on a daily basis to maximise business opportunities. I feel this has really been of benefit to me and to the company.”

The curriculum covers four core modules as well as building skills on how to write, implement and evaluate an effective marketing plan to meet pre-determined targets. Leigh achieved distinctions in Marketing Communications and Marketing Research and Information, and merits in Marketing Planning and Management in Practice, and is now working towards a CMI accredited Level 5 Management Diploma.
