New Brake Specialists at National
04 Dec 2006
National Tyres and Autocare is pleased to announce the appointment of two field-based Training and Development Officers, recruited as part of the company’s increased focus on the brake market.
At the start of the year, National began to implement a new strategy to increase its share of the brake market and as a result, over 150 National employees have already attended two new, IMI certified, brake training programmes, the first covering brake problem diagnosis and the second ABS and Vehicle Electrics.
Such has been the success of these modules that National’s training programme has now been accelerated with the appointment of Andy Clarkson and Robert Frankel who have both been appointed as Brakes Training and Development Officers and have already commenced in-branch, IMI accredited brake training throughout the UK.
Tony Neill, Managing Director, Retail, commented “the appointment of our new field-based training and development officers is just one part of a strategy aimed at increasing our share of the brake market. At National we believe that training is key to our success and I am particularly pleased to have been able to promote Andy and Robert from within our own organization, both of whom have extensive experience in the brakes sector.”
