National Tyres and Autocare Smart Car Raises £9,000 for Breast Cancer Campaign at Pink Ribbon Ball
11 Oct 2004
A limited edition pink Smart car donated by National Tyres and Autocare has raised £9,000 for Breast Cancer Campaign. The car was auctioned at the Charity's 10th Pink Ribbon Ball held at The Dorchester Hotel on 9 October 2004.
The unique pink heart design caught the eye of successful bidder, Shaun Springer, and it was love at first sight. The stakes were raised as a number of interested parties put in their bids, but the CEO of Napier Scott Executive Search Ltd. was determined to claim the car and offered the highest bid.
Joan Major, Chair of the Breast Cancer Campaign Pink Ribbon Ball committee, commented,
"We were delighted with the pink Smart car kindly donated by National Tyres and Autocare for the live auction at our Pink Ribbon Ball. Thanks to Mr Springer, this raised £9,000 for the Charity and we couldn't be happier."
National Tyres and Autocare are involved in a number of fundraising initiatives this year in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign.
