The Cinturato Winter 2 replaces the Cinturato Winter and is a premium touring winter tyre designed for passenger cars and SUV’s. Pirelli tyres have invested a large amount of research and development into the Cinturato Winter 2, aiming for the tyre to become one of the best winter tyres within the UK tyre market. Improved mileage
With higher mileage performance than the Winter Sottozero 3, Pirelli’s 3D sipe technology also means that the sipe pattern changes (they becomes longer and change to a zig-zag pattern) as the tyre wears, which ensure it is able to maintain optimal grip in the snow (about a 30% improvement on the Winter Sottozero 3).
Improved fuel efficiency as well as increased driver comfort levels
The Pirelli Cinturato Winter 2 has a lower rolling resistance than previous generations of its winter tyres, which means that it reduces fuel consumption and emissions. It is also significantly quieter, in terms of internal and external noise levels.
Seal Inside technology
Selected sizes include Pirelli’s ‘Seal Inside’ technology. A mousse-like liquid seals around any penetrating object, which maintains the tyre’s pressure and allows it to be driven on until it can be repaired.
Electric vehicles
Pirelli is also offering their ‘Elect’ mark in selected sizes to optimise rolling resistance and maximise the battery range for electric vehicles. ‘Elect’ marked tyres are also quieter and able to handle the additional torque load that electric vehicles deliver throughout the rev band.
The Pirelli Cinturato Winter 2 has been awarded the performance mark [1] by the well-respected German certification board TÜV SÜD.
