MOT certificates are valid for one year- however, with car tax and insurance, you can purchase these for shorter amounts of time. For car tax, you can pay for this on the Gov.UK website via direct debit for a period of 1 month, 6 months or 1 year. For car insurance, you can purchase this for any time up to a year.
