Auto Express and evo recognise ContiWinterContact TS830P
Continental has won coveted awards from the UK's no1 weekly selling car magazine, Auto Express and monthly title evo. Announced in both titles,
Continental's ContiWinterContact TS830P took the top spot in this year’s winter tyre awards.
For its second year, the Auto Express winter tyre guide celebrates the best of the best in the winter tyre market, revealing the most inspirational
must-have products for the cold season. The awards highlight exceptional performance, quality, safety, desirability and value alongside the magazine’s
annual tyre tests. They are seen within the motoring industry as a stamp of approval offering motoring enthusiasts confidence when looking for their
next winter tyre purchase.
Auto Express commented, “Consistently good performances earn Continental our winter tyre crown. Great all round performance with no weaknesses, sees
off winter rivals and takes the win.”
The first evo winter tyre test furthered this praise in December’s issue. Tested against five competitor winter tyres in size 225/45R17, the awards
recognised the ContiWinterContact TS830P across a broad spectrum, ranging from snow tests to road feel and refinement.
evo said, “Continental is the best performer overall, with solid results seeing it take first place. What our test shows is that not only are winter
tyres vastly superior in the snow but that the best outperform a quality summer tyre when the roads are wet and near freezing.”
The ContiWinterContact TS830P is the ideal choice for drivers who want the highest levels of safety without compromising on performance. The large
number of blocks and sipes on the tyre shoulders create a multitude of gripping edges and consequently more effective traction in snow. In addition to
this the compound and construction of winter tyres is designed to perform well on wet cold roads. Laps of the challenging Contidrom wet handling
circuit were conducted at less than 7degrees to assess traction and steering feel.
