Replacing Tyres

It is recommended that tyres be fitted in matched pairs for optimum performance; fitting a new tyre when the other is worn could cause instability when driving.

It could be dangerous (and illegal) to mix tyres of different construction. If in doubt a tyre specialist should be consulted, but to avoid any misunderstanding it is strongly recommended that both tyres on a motorcycle should be of the same construction.

In addition front and rear wheels should only be fitted for their purpose and should not be mixed.

When fitting a new tyre, the valve should be replaced and the tyre balanced and properly aligned for optimum performance and to prolong tyre life.

These operations should only be entrusted to a trained tyre specialist with the necessary equipment and expertise. Inexpert fitting can result in injury and damage to tyres and wheels. If in doubt, ask one of our experts.

PLEASE BE AWARE:
We will only fit tyres to loose wheels, though we do supply paddock stands and tools in branches for you to use if you would like to ride in.
